ABSTRACT
Without adequate and sustained investments in good nutrition, the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) will not be realized. The ambition to ‘End hunger, achieve food security and improved nutrition and promote sustainable agriculture’ is captured in SDGs, however, at least 12 of the 17 Goals contain indicators that are highly relevant to nutrition. With this issue in focus, a one-day Ist Agriculture-Health-Nutrition conference and Expo, focused on ‘linking agriculture with health, food and nutrition in a sustainable way’ was held by Bacha Khan University Charsadda (BKUC) in collaboration with Nutrition International. The aim of the expo was to highlight the issues and challenges for Pakistan’s agriculture-health-nutrition linkages, and to propose plausible recommendations for national sustainability. The Expo-2023 BKUC highlighted the issues and solutions related to agriculture-health-nutrition linkages.
