Hydrogen Peroxide Detection Kit

The hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) detection kit is designed to quantitatively measure H2O2 in a variety of samples. A hydrogen peroxide standard is provided to generate a standard curve. Samples are mixed with a fluorescent substrate and the reaction is initiated by addition of horseradish peroxidase that reacts with the substrate in the presence of hydrogen peroxide to convert the colorless substrate into a fluorescent product. The fluorescent product is read at 590 nm with excitation at 570 nm. Increasing levels of H2O2 cause a linear increase in fluorescent product.

Anti-Puromycin Monoclonal Antibody

Anti Puromycin monoclonal antibody is raised against puromycin HCl (IgG, mouse). This antibody can be used in non-radioactive protocols such as surface sensing of translation (SUnSET) to measure rates of global protein synthesis (mRNA translation) in cells or tissue slices incubated with puromycin, or in animals treated with puromycin in-vivo.  Puromycin is a structural analog of aminoacyl tRNAs, and can incorporate into the nascent polypeptide chain. When used in minimal amounts, puromycin incorporation in neosynthesized proteins reflects directly the rate of mRNA translation in-vitro. The puromycin is detected by a variety of applications including, ELISA, Western blot, Immunofluorescence microscopy or flow cytometry.
