Growing Threat to Mother Earth in the Light of COVID-19

ABSTRACT

Coronaviruses is a common virus family known to cause a range of diseases ranging from mild respiratory infection to severe pneumonia. Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) was declared as pandemic by WHO in March 2020. This novel virus has affected one and all irrespective of their age, creed, religion, region, and economic and social status, though, older and unhealthy people are vulnerable to this disease. According to the WHO, more than eighty-nine million people globally have been affected due to this deadly novel virus till date. COVID-19 has not only troubled human life, but it has some abiding impacts on mother earth. Some impacts on mother earth will be discussed here in this mini review.
